The verdict
My honest take: for the vast majority, the OSR2+ is more than enough — especially for multi-axis. 100%.
I’m not knocking the SR6 — it’s my true favourite. But if you plan to use it with VaM, that is when I’d point you to the SR6; otherwise the OSR2+ is a pick you will not regret. It has a faster stroke than anything else on the market, and with multi-axis it is mind-blowing.
See the original design’s movement in real-time — switch between OSR2 and SR6, pick a pattern, and set the speed. The real units are driven by your scripts.
